Taumi in Kleve

We ordered sushi over the phone. Pick up time was an hour later. When you got to the shop, you were allowed to wait in the shop for almost an hour (only for sushi). So we waited a total of 2 hours for our sushi. You had the feeling that the dishes were only being prepared when you arrived. At least 10 other people were waiting with you, which is very questionable about the current situation. No face mask is worn in the kitchen during preparation. No matter how delicious the food is there, ordering there is not recommended. Once and never again.

Super fresh and delicious ? sushi. We were very satisfied. Well worth the price in my opinion. :)

The Taumi is a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant !! Everything is freshly prepared and tastes delicious! Hygiene is very important All tables are separated with plexiglass You feel safe and welcome To be recommended without reservation ?

The food is not bad, but seriously the service ? Where is the manner ? When we are ordering, the waitress just impatiently points around on the menu ? She was “surprised” that I didn’t order an entree, just a steak menu, yeah because I can’t have both pre dish and steak. And the an Asian lady just running around and pleasing white people while treated us half-hearted ? Come on, unfortunately this is all too typical, have the dignity to treat other equally so that they will do the same !!!

Very simple interior, but the cook makes it a party !!! Super tasty and very favorable !!!

Not only does the food look great, it tastes fantastic too! Very creative, there is something for every taste and you can trust yourself to try something unknown! The menu is provided with photos, which makes the decision easier! Very cozy interior and nice staff.

We were with our company in Kleve near Taumi. I vary between 3 and 4 stars. Sometimes the staff was great (superiors), sometimes very overwhelmed and we had to point out missing orders several times. Starter platter a little uninspired and with a lot of beans. Sate skewers very good (they are not part of the plate - it would be an idea to spice them up) The dishes were good / okay, in one place or another not seasoned or bland. I had the big steak myself. The steak itself was delicious, the side dishes "okay", but nothing really special. As so often, the waiters could certainly have made more money on drinks. At the end there was tea ice cream for me! Something different and I liked it a lot. Three stars because the evening and the food weren't really bad, but there was definitely room for improvement.

We went to this great taumi restaurant for dinner last night , Ambience, atmosphere, food everything was great, only the Japanese or Vietnamese waitress spoke German badly and didn't understand us properly Thank goodness another waitress came shortly afterwards and was super friendly, with a lot of experience and was able to help us We would love to come back We were at table 27 and would like to sit there whenever we come back

Food TOP !!! However, reusable chopsticks are also served in a basket with the normal cutlery. Since we only used the normal cutlery, we left the chopsticks in the basket even though we had touched the chopsticks. The waitress actually wanted to put the chopsticks away without cleaning them. INCOMPREHENSIBLE!!!

Was a bit confused by the concept, is it Vietnamese, Japanese, or both? I think they should differentiate between those and not provide sushi with some random Vietnamese dishes. The fried spring rolls and curry we had were ok but the sushi especially the rolls were oversized, hard to eat, and lacking in flavor. The worst thing was the Vietnamese coffee, which is presented on the menu with a Phin (Vietnamese coffee filter) , and described as Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk when it was served as just regular coffee, presented with no phin, and no condensed milk. It was tasteless and disappointing. Also the icea tea is served with Italian basil instead of Thai basil as it says on the menu which greatly alters the flavor. I think the decor is pretty, service is nice, but all the dishes and drinks need some fine tuning to be really delicious.

Enjoy your meal. Not "standard" sweet and sour sauce at the buffet. Communication with the waitress is a little difficult. Ambience is ok. The open kitchen looks neat.

Good price performance ratio. Fast processing of the takeaway order. Ate vegetarian, fresh vegetables and the tofu is very well prepared. Gladly again! ??

It was our first time at Taumi Essen. It was just a dream. The food is of very high quality. The service is super friendly and very quick. The atmosphere is great. We weren't there last time. An enrichment for Kleve. We look forward to the next delicious dishes. Greetings from Emmerich

This restaurant is really great. Never eaten Japanese so well although I have a lot of experience. The best ever and for a very reasonable price. Very nice service. 5 star plus.

Location: it is by the Spoykanal and near the city parking area. It is quite accessible. Decor: it is filled with decorations of Vietnamese/ Asian theme. Bicycles, buddha heads, traditional lanterns and flowers and wall paintings. The chairs are cozy and the arrangement of the seating are close. We were there early and later in the evening the restaurant was quite full and we had to raise our voice in conversation. Staff: friendly and they do get busy. Nevertheless polite and friendly. Menu: it is a fusion of Vietnamese and Japanese and Western. They have from appetizers, to Soups like Pho (you can have it as appetizer or as main) to salads and fusion of steaks or tuna steaks. The Japanese sections has set meals or individual order as well. They cater to vegetation customers in the appetizers and main course and dessert too. They have a wine menu from Kleve's local wine shop Peter's: good selection, from sushi wine to Chalibis! Food: Our food arrived timely. We had appetizers-main-desserts and I can say our food came at the comfortable speed. Taste wise, was good with good portion. It was colourful too, with carrots to greens to guacamole sauces and salad leaves. The Pho was good: it comes with asian mint leaves and bean sprouts and spicy chillies. We had a good gathering there. It looked like a popular place to hangout for people of all ages. (Family, elderly, locals) They are dog-friendly but do call in and ask if you could bring bigger dogs.

Very lovingly and quaintly furnished restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. Have reserved a table beforehand. Was well attended. Friendly staff and delicious food. Price performance is right. Gladly again.

Food can be great but found quality of food to vary between visits. Several times it was excellent, other times the sauce was way too salty, the service slow despite being relatively quiet and the main menu for a party of 5 got served with big delay in 4 separate sessions.

Great price and great food. Loved the sushi and vietnamese cuisine too. Also the main dishes are very filling.

Everything is just right here. Starting from the location directly on the Spoykanal over the fascinating and appealing ambience and the very good service up to the food, which I would like to judge as high quality and very good. In terms of price, we are here in the middle segment which results in a very good price-performance ratio. I am already curious how my next visit will be canceled because I will definitely eat there again.

Excellent service, very friendly and attentive staff and the food was out of this world along with the delicious and fresh cocktails. A true breath of fresh air and much-needed addition to the Kleve restaurant scene.

I had a really good pho with some good spicy chilli and also has pretty good ambience in overall.

We landed here by chance and like to come back. You can sit very nicely both indoors and out. We ate sushi as an appetizer and beef fillet as our main course. The food was very well prepared and tasted very delicious.
